Special Council Meeting 3/25/11 Minutes Draft

Pastor Rust called a special meeting of the St Andrew Lutheran Council for Friday, 3/25/11 at 8pm.

Present: Pastor Rust, Bob Morrissey, Ollie Beall, Sarah Hall, Paul Miottke, Glenn Kaijala,

Craig Schadewald, Jeff Ogonowski, Ed Blakelock, Karen Ellenberger (late),

Jeff French (visitor).

Pastor opened the meeting with prayer shortly after 8pm.

Bob Morrissey, Vice President, agreed to move up to the vacant President position (owing to Bernie Orris’ resignation).

Pastor Rust had talked to both Bob Morrissey and Bernie today. A replacement will need to be appointed for the Fellowship vacancy,

owing to Lauren Hudgins move. Pastor advised not to replace immediately but to look for candidates that are impartial.

We need to pray about potential members, and bring those names to the April meeting.

Council voted Ollie Beall as vice-president.

Pastor- Ideas for the future:

All Educational materials will be reviewed by a committee and Pastor.

This was agreed upon by council members present.

This committee should be a part of the Christian Education committee.

A Unity Service should be held on a day other than Sunday.

Remind all members that the Faith Statement we voted on still stands.

Announcement should be at services that there are 2 vacancies on council; interested members should let council know.

Meeting was adjourned at 9:40 with The Lord’s Prayer.
